Almost every car hauler heading into Florida from the Midwest on I-75 and a good share from the Northeast on I-85 passes through Atlanta, and most of them stop to fill the last spaces on the deck. Trucks heading west on I-20 to Texas and north on I-85 to the Carolinas and Virginia do the same. The yards in Forest Park and Doraville turn loads around daily, which is why an Atlanta pickup is typically assigned within a day or two and prices from the metro run at the low end of the Southeast's ranges in every direction.
The customers are as varied as the metro. Corporate relocations to the Midtown, Buckhead and Perimeter employers. Families moving into the northern suburbs and out again for Texas, Florida and the Carolinas. Students at Georgia Tech, Emory and Georgia State every August and May. Military families at Fort Eisenhower and Dobbins. And the largest auction and dealer trade in the Southeast, which moves cars through the metro all week. The quote form above is set to Atlanta; add the other end of the trip and your vehicle for a range.

Outside the Perimeter, Atlanta is easy for a 75-foot truck. Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek, Milton, Cumming, Marietta, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Sandy Springs' newer streets, Dunwoody, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Snellville, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Newnan and Stockbridge are driveway pickups wherever the street lets the truck turn without reversing. Gated communities in the northern suburbs admit a delivery truck with a call from the resident or meet the driver at the gate; it does not change the price.
Inside the Perimeter, plan on a meeting point. Midtown's towers use a garage exit or a lot nearby. Buckhead's narrower streets off Peachtree, Virginia-Highland, Morningside, Inman Park, Candler Park, Grant Park, Cabbagetown, Decatur's older blocks and downtown have mature trees, parked cars and no room to turn, and the driver names a big-box lot near I-85, I-75, I-20 or Ponce. Hartsfield-Jackson's hotel lots on Camp Creek Parkway are the usual handover for anyone flying the same day.
Auctions are a bigger part of Atlanta shipping than almost anywhere. The lanes in the south metro and along I-20 supply dealers across the Southeast, and carriers on every Southeast lane collect from them. Book the day the sale closes, give your specialist the lot's release process, and the car is off the lot before storage fees start.
Traffic is the local variable. Drivers avoid the Connector and 285 at rush hour and schedule intown handovers before eight or after six. Weather rarely matters; a January ice storm closes the roads for a morning and carriers wait at no charge. Belongings stay under about 100 pounds, below the window line, uninsured. A car arriving from another state needs Georgia registration afterwards, which is your errand.

Florida, Texas, the Carolinas and the Northeast lanes all pass through Atlanta, so we price and schedule a metro pickup as a stop on a load, not a detour, and quote the shorter window that goes with it.
Give your specialist the buyer number and the lot's release process is handled with the dealership or auction office before the truck is assigned, so the car leaves before storage fees start.
Intown streets and the Connector at rush hour do not suit a 75-foot hauler. The driver names a lot near Ponce, in Buckhead or off 285 when the truck is assigned, and confirms the hour the day before.

888-706-8784$450–$700 to Orlando or Miami, roughly $600–$900 to Dallas, $650–$950 to New York and $600–$875 to Chicago for a running sedan on an open carrier. Enclosed adds 40–60%; SUVs and pickups 12–20%.
One to two days, among the fastest in the country. Nearly every Florida-bound truck from the Midwest and the Northeast passes through, and the yards in Forest Park and Doraville turn loads around daily.
Inside the Perimeter: Midtown, Buckhead's narrower streets, Virginia-Highland, Inman Park, Grant Park, Decatur's older blocks and downtown. Alpharetta, Roswell, Marietta, Johns Creek, Sandy Springs' newer streets, Lawrenceville, Peachtree City and Newnan are direct to the door.
One of the best. Atlanta's auction lanes supply dealers across the Southeast, and carriers on the Southeast lanes collect from them constantly. Book the day the sale closes and give your specialist the lot's release process.
June through August for relocations, plus mid-August and early May for university moves. Winter is steady rather than cheap because Atlanta is a hub, not a snowbird destination.
Only the timing. Drivers avoid the Connector and 285 at rush hour and schedule intown handovers early or late. Weather is rarely an issue; a January ice storm closes the roads for a morning.
Not at the terminals. The hotel lots on Camp Creek Parkway and along I-85 south are the usual handover for anyone flying the same day.
