Fort Worth is where trucks from the west arrive first. I-20 from El Paso and the California lane, I-30 from Little Rock, and I-35W from Oklahoma all come into Tarrant County before they reach Dallas, and the Alliance logistics corridor north of the city has become one of the busiest carrier hubs in Texas. For a customer that means a pickup within a day or two and, from western origins, a price that is sometimes a little below Dallas because the truck has not yet crossed the Metroplex.
The customers are relocations to Alliance's employers and the aviation and defense plants on the west side, families moving into Keller, Southlake, Aledo and the Alliance developments, TCU students, and military families at NAS Fort Worth JRB. Fort Worth is also cattle and horse country, and trailers with a truck or a ranch vehicle aboard are a regular part of the loads. The quote form above is set to Fort Worth; add the other end of the trip and your vehicle for a range.

Most of the county is easy for a 75-foot truck. Keller, Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, North Richland Hills, Watauga, Saginaw, Haslet and the Alliance developments to the north; Benbrook, Aledo and Willow Park to the west; Burleson, Crowley, Mansfield and Arlington to the south are driveway pickups wherever the street lets the truck turn. Gated communities admit a delivery truck with a call from the resident or meet at the gate; it does not change the price.
The older core is a meeting point. Downtown, the Near Southside, Fairmount, Ryan Place, the older blocks of Arlington Heights and the Stockyards have narrow streets and no room to turn, and the driver names a lot off I-30, I-35W or Camp Bowie. DFW's north entry hotel lots and the Alliance-area hotels off I-35W are the usual handovers for anyone flying the same day.
NAS Fort Worth JRB sets its own rules. Carriers do not enter the installation; the driver meets you at a lot outside the west-side gate or at your off-base address, and your specialist confirms the spot when the truck is assigned. Tell your specialist the report date and it goes on the booking.
Weather is a footnote. A January ice storm closes I-20 and I-35W for a morning; a spring hailstorm is worth an enclosed trailer for a car you care about. Neither is charged as a delay. Belongings stay under about 100 pounds, below the window line, uninsured. A car arriving from another state needs Texas registration and a state inspection afterwards, which are your errand.

Trucks from California, Phoenix and El Paso reach Fort Worth before Dallas, and we quote the transit window and price from the west accordingly rather than treating the whole Metroplex as one stop.
Loads turn around along I-35W north of the city daily, so we schedule a Fort Worth pickup as a stop on a departing load and quote the short window that goes with it.
Fort Worth ships more full-size and lifted pickups than most cities. Your specialist asks about height, tires and weight before the truck is assigned, so the right trailer is sent the first time.

888-706-8784Roughly $975–$1,350 from Los Angeles, $750–$1,050 from Phoenix, $700–$1,000 from Chicago, $925–$1,300 from Miami and $650–$950 from Denver for a running sedan on an open carrier. Enclosed adds 40–60%; SUVs and pickups 12–20%.
One to two days. Fort Worth shares the Metroplex carrier network and sits on I-20, I-30 and I-35W, so trucks from the west reach it before Dallas and the yards at Alliance turn loads around daily.
Downtown, the Near Southside, Fairmount, Arlington Heights' older streets and the Stockyards. Keller, Southlake, Alliance, Saginaw, Benbrook, Burleson, Mansfield and Aledo are direct to the door.
Yes; the joint reserve base drives steady PCS moves. Carriers do not enter the installation; the driver meets you at a lot outside the gate on the west side or at your off-base address.
From the west, Fort Worth is sometimes a little cheaper because the truck reaches it first. From the east and Florida the two are the same. Ask your specialist for the Fort Worth number rather than assuming.
May through August, for relocations and school-calendar moves. November through February is cheapest apart from the holiday weeks.
A January ice storm can close I-20 and I-35W for a morning, and spring hail is worth an enclosed trailer for a car you would not want dented. Carriers wait out both at no charge.
