Fort Lauderdale is the second-to-last stop on the I-95 run, delivered just before Miami on nearly every southbound load and the starting point for many northbound ones. It draws a slightly different customer from its neighbor: Philadelphia and the Main Line have wintered in Broward for generations, Boston and New York families relocate here for the marine, aviation and health-care employers, and students at Nova Southeastern and FAU arrive every August. It is also the boating capital of the state, which shows up in the number of convertibles, exotics and show cars that ship here enclosed.
Broward is an easy county for a truck. Most of it is suburban and gated, the streets are wide, and the beach and downtown towers have loading bays that management will open with notice. The carriers who run the lane handle all of it weekly. The quote form above is set to Fort Lauderdale; add the other end of the trip and your vehicle for a range.

The western and central suburbs are driveway pickups: Plantation, Weston, Davie, Cooper City, Sunrise, Tamarac, Coral Springs, Parkland, Pembroke Pines and Miramar, wherever the street lets a 75-foot truck turn without reversing. Most of these are gated, and the gatehouse admits a delivery truck with a call from the resident or the driver meets you at the visitor entrance. Along the water, downtown, Las Olas, the beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Pompano's oceanfront and Hollywood's towers are condo buildings; management opens the loading area for a short unload with notice, or the driver uses a lot nearby and the car is driven in.
Two timing notes. The port and airport area is congested from mid-morning, so deliveries there are scheduled early. The drawbridges on Las Olas and along the Intracoastal add minutes at unpredictable times, and drivers plan around them. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood's hotel lots on Griffin Road and Federal Highway are the usual handover for anyone flying the same day.
Marinas come up more here than anywhere else. A car going to a yacht club or a boatyard is fine if the truck can stop nearby; give the driver the dockmaster's number and expect a street handover if the lot is tight. From August through October a hurricane watch can hold a delivery by a day or two; carriers wait and nothing is charged.
Students and military families round out the year. Nova Southeastern and FAU move in August and May, and it is worth booking three weeks ahead in those fortnights. Coast Guard families at Sector Miami and the Air Station ship on orders year-round; the driver meets them at a lot outside the gate or at their off-base address, and the report date goes on the booking.

A large share of Fort Lauderdale shipments go enclosed. We match a hard-sided trailer with a liftgate to a low car, and confirm the carrier's cargo insurance limit against the car's value before pickup.
Las Olas and beach-tower loading bays and the western gated communities each have their own rules. Your specialist collects the building or gatehouse contact at booking so the driver is not improvising on the day.
Fort Lauderdale is not Miami, and our ranges reflect a Broward delivery: a step below the Miami price from every northern origin, shown before you enter a phone number.

One to three days. Fort Lauderdale is delivered just before Miami on every southbound load and is a common starting point for northbound loads in spring.
Through the building's loading area if management opens it, otherwise at a lot nearby. Las Olas, the beach, Pompano's oceanfront and Hollywood's towers are handled this way with a call ahead.
Plantation, Weston, Davie, Cooper City, Coral Springs, Parkland, Pembroke Pines and Miramar, anywhere a 75-foot truck can turn. Gated communities admit the truck with a call or meet at the visitor gate.
More than most places. Fort Lauderdale's boating and car culture means convertibles, exotics and show cars are ordinary, and a large share of shipments here go enclosed.
Inbound November through January, outbound March through early May. Summer is quieter and cheaper both ways.
Yes, if there is room for the truck to stop nearby. Give the driver the dockmaster's number, and expect a street handover if the marina lot is tight.
